I frequently see husbands and wives come in together so that I can help one of them with their hearing.
The partner with the worse hearing always gets the help that they need. The other partner never thinks to do anything about their hearing. I guess, it is because they think their hearing is fine because it isn’t as bad as the spouse’s hearing.
After the age of 70, hearing changes for all of us, regardless of noise exposure, or health conditions.
It is important for everyone to have a periodic check of their hearing. The earlier hearing loss is addressed, the better the outcome and the happier the family will be.
